Time for SOLA

Is it time for SOLA? Otherwise known as State of Our Love Affairs. XD It would be ideal to regularly check in with your partner about your shared goals and current needs. 🙂 »

Not having it

Feel like not having any of it today. But I must get up not because I “have” to but because I “get” to do what I do every single day. 🙂 »

Keeping habits

Trying to think of a sustainable way to keep habits for those of us with Rebel tendencies (Gretchen Rubin’s Four Tendencies). 🤔 »

Lessons on cramming

I was supposed to make a blog post about making reading a habit again. But I thought, what for? What are people going to learn or be inspired about if I discuss making reading print books a habit again? This was supposed to be the image for the “making reading a habit again” post. But let’s be real, I crammed everything today and instead wrote about that. #win »

I Don’t Have the Heart to Chain People Down

No matter how hard I try. I just can’t bring myself to chain people down. What am I talking about? Picture this: one night, my partner and I are chilling at home. The baby is sleeping, finally. Then, all of a sudden, there’s a phone call. It’s from his workmate. It’s his workmate’s birthday. And he turns around to me with those longing eyes. Obviously, he wants to go out. Arguably, some people would say that I should let him stay to keep things fair in the parenting department. »

This is the real me

In all fairness, I wanted to do my makeup for this day. However, between breastfeeding and having minimal sleep, I thought to myself, whatever. It’s not like the day will not happen if I didn’t wear makeup anyway. I would certainly look more alive with an eyeliner probably. But the question is: will I really look alive, though? Or will 2 hours of sleep still show… One will never know. »

Mini goals

Actually looking forward to workout today because I make sure to set easy, mini goals (just approx. 7 mins) so I don’t get the chance to complain about it. 😆 »

My daughter is baptized

My beautiful daughter was baptized last Sunday. Truth be told, the ceremony itself was not as reverent as I’d half hoped. The priest did not seem to be in a reverent mood at all. But it was the experience of baptism that was the important part. My daughter is finally a Christian. I know being a Christian might not mean much to some people. And I’m not claiming to be an overly religious and devout Catholic. »

Something happened

Something happened. You can’t go walking around like you were not hurt. Something happened. Apologies were made but, as usual, time will have its way. »

Letting go

On the prospect of letting go… it seems easy to act like you’re doing it for yourself. But if you had to be really honest about it, half of you is still hoping for the other person to turn around and come back. #ouchie 😞 »
